Getting a kitten today?

OK, so we're getting a kitten, been a long time since we had one. Don't know what sex hoping for a girl. And when she's old enough getting her done, we've already got a male cat. Who was de-sexed when he was old enough. We don't know much about this kitten, we're going to see it today. White kitten. I know blue eyed ones are deaf and strange eyed ones are too. It's 9 weeks old. Got cat food and some kitten milk in a carton. Anything else I'm missing?
