Can someone help with a convient store question?

Say someone comes in your store and wants to buy a carton of cigarettes, but you don't have any cartons of that brand and all you have is 20 packs on the self. Now this brand is pretty popular and sells. So would you sell the customer 10 packs or see if they would buy 2 packs so that you will have some left?
